Special stories Tolded stories Uniqueness for the gifts:
The task here was to reflect the photo and even to expand the boundaries of photography by means of the 3D battle painting. This image is the family heirloom, almost the only remaining memory of the grandfather who served in the RAF during the WWII. Let me introduce to you Flight Sergeant Stefan Nosowski of No.302 Polish Fighter Squadron on the wing of hiw Spitfire IX, 14 Nov 1943
For implementation, a richly detailed model from Edward was taken, and a significant amount of archival and historical information was studied.
The soul of the aircraft model - the cockpit - has been recreated in the smallest details.
Original camouflage and individual inscriptions were applied, which were present exclusively on this aircraft.
The pilot figure is a deep conversion of several figures from the ICM set.
The costume and elements of ammunition have been improved. A collar element has been added to the photo - estimate its size in comparison with your thumbnail.
The flight helmet was made almost from scratch, and the pilot's hairstyle was designed based on the photo to make it look similar to the portrait.
The figure is painted based on archival photographs - the exact colors of the uniform and elements of equipment - with acrylic and oil paints.
The finished model was installed on a wooden base - the No.302 Polish Fighter Squadron emblem also became an element of the composition.
The model bears the original markings of the aircraft flown by Stefan Nosowski.
«It is incredible to see my Grandfather come to life in this model. Now, thanks to author, my whole family can see him and remember» - Gerry, granddaughter of pilot.
The author presents this work to Gerry Nosowska, the granddaughter of pilot Stefan Nosowsky.
